I just checked it on my side (I have 0.4.2 - so it is better to update to latests version) - and it works fine. Just switch to Following page and that is all - and it will scan Following page.
You can it by snapshot type after scanning - it will have appropriate type (following or followers).
Maybe ‘open followers page’ button title is confusing - it is just to open your own profile pages, after it, just select the wanted page. If it confusing - I will add separate button for it, will send it today for the review (would be present in 0.4.3 version).
